Solence Health exists because the hard part of medical travel is not finding a surgeon. It is everything around the surgeon — and that is where most patients, and most agency relationships, are lost.
What we are
Solence Health is an inbound medical travel facilitator based in Limassol, Cyprus. We work with outbound medical tourism companies, clinics and referral partners abroad, and with hospitals, consultants, hotels and rehabilitation providers in Cyprus. We are independent of any single hospital, which is what allows us to place a case where it belongs rather than where it is convenient.
We do not provide medical treatment and we do not give medical advice. We select, coordinate, price and manage — and we are accountable for the experience around the care.
How we work
- One price, fixed before travel. A patient who is surprised by a bill on arrival is a patient your agency has to defend. We remove that risk at the quotation stage.
- One named person per case. The Patient Manager is the model the whole company is built on, not a service upgrade.
- Written, not verbal. Dossiers, complication policy, programme, inclusions and statements — if it matters commercially, it exists as a document.
- Honest placement. If a case is better treated at home, or better placed in another country, we say so. It costs us a case and keeps a partner.
Founder
George Xydas, CFA
Founder & CEO. George has spent close to thirty years between corporate finance and operating businesses, and the last ten of them operating in the personalised medical sector.
That decade in personalised medicine — caring for patients from Cyprus and abroad — taught him the part of medical travel that is not medicine: the enquiry that goes unanswered, the transfer nobody booked, the patient who needs one person to call.
Before healthcare he was a corporate financier and operator — senior corporate finance at Severis & Athienitis, director and partner at XS Capital Securities, Director of International Operations at FxPro, and founder of ventures across Cyprus, Qatar and the Gulf. He is a CFA charterholder and a managing partner of SAX Partners in Limassol.
He founded Solence Health after seeing the same gap from both ends: international partners who could not get a straight answer out of Cyprus, and Cypriot providers with real clinical capability and no way to reach the patients who needed it.
The name
Solence — from solace and silence: the quiet that comes from knowing someone competent has it in hand. The mark is an unbroken arc, the arrival and the return held by the same line.
